An immersive experience in the world of Steelpan music
Fully immerse yourself in the rich history and tradition
We are excited to share the unique culture of Steelpan music and Steelpan making with you through exclusive tours of Steelpan creation in the Caribbean. Our tour will allow you to fully immerse yourself in the rich history and tradition of this beloved art form.
The Caribbean is the cultural home of the Steelpan, sometimes also known as the Steeldrum. The Steelpan, as we know it, emerged in the 1930s in Trinidad, but the Caribbean – especially Jamaica – has a tradition of street and folk music that goes back over hundreds of years.
Making a Steelpan is a highly skilled and well-respected craft that requires remarkable skill and expertise. We partner with the Trinidad and Tobago Steelpan Tuners Guild and their Steelpan craftsmen use the traditional method, which involves a 55-gallon metal drum as the starting point.
